10 week walking group. Offered 3 times a week at the Running Room 15 King St. S. Waterloo and CASH 15 Water St. Cambridge The first walk is 20 minutes and over the course of 10 weeks you will build your athletic base and be able to walk 5 km at the completion of the 10 weeks. 10 week cooking group. Divided into 2 segments. During this 2 hour class held at the St. John's Kitchen, 97A Victoria St. N., Kitchener and CASH in Cambridge, you will prepare a delicious and nutritious meal, eat your meal and then meet with a registered dietitian, Polly Stanley, as she explains how to make healthy food choices to control your blood sugars and fat intake.
10 week Yoga Program. Offered at Queen Street Yoga, 44 Queen St. S., Kitchener and Atlas Yoga Studio, 7 Grand St., Cambridge. This group is designed to improve your flexibility, breathing and teach relaxation techniques. Instructor: Jayne Taggar
12 week YMCA Program. Offered at AR Kaufman YMCA, 333 Carwood Dr. and Chaplin Family YMCA, 250 Hespeler Rd. in Cambridge. This group will take you through their 12 week getting started program, where you will be exposed in a group setting to all the YMCA has to offer.
